As with all VeloSolo products the Disc Cog is custom manufactured in England by the UK's leading international aftermarket motorcycle gear and sprocket engineering company with over 70 world champions riding its products.
Blanks are machined from EN36 cro-moly steel stock, teeth precision milled and cogs drilled to very tight tolerances before undergoing heat treatment. Bright nickel passivated and laser engraved for a beautiful finish. Very strong, very round and a perfect fit. Not to be confused with cheap laser cut or stamped cogs. Reversible without affecting chainline for even longer life.
We are confident these are the hardest wearing disc mount cogs available and guarantee the original purchase for life to the original owner. If you wear one out send it back and we will replace it with one of the same size free of charge (terms and conditions apply, see below*).
Available in 1/8" and 3/32" widths and 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 teeth. Please see this page for sample weights of VS components. Please see FAQ for more information and set-up advice.
*Guarantee applies to the original owner only, cog must be run in both directions evenly and flipped frequently, postage costs not included, claims must be accompanied by the *original* paper proof of purchase, commercial use excluded, please contact us prior to return.
Originally we did not produce a 15t Disc Cog as the bolt pattern means the chain would very slightly foul the mounting bolt heads on cogs smaller than 16t. However, by using specific countersunk style bolts with a 3mm hex key fitting there is just enough clearance to prevent this.
Important: With some chains there is still the slight possibility of minor interference with the hub mount which may cause marking to the hub (to date we have only ever had one report of this). Please be advised that the 15t may therfore be a slight compromise - please do not buy if you are unhappy with this. The 15t is not usable with our 6 bolt spacers. Please email if you would like further information or advice.
Made to exactly the same spec as the regular sizes this cog is sold complete with a set of stainless steel mounting bolts in the correct size. See above for lifetime guarantee terms and conditions.
Available in 1/8" and 3/32" widths. Purchase price includes set of 6 mounting bolts. Please see FAQ for more information and set-up advice.
Made to the same spec as our other Disc Cogs this is a larger size in 22t as requested by many riders for use on polo bikes or to obtain a lower ratio off-road. Available in 1/8" or 3/32" width.
Super stiff and strong, these are manufactured from the same heat-treated EN36 cro-moly steel stock but with additional lightening holes. Combine with a 22t front ring for an ultra low MTB 1:1 ratio or if fixed wheel polo is your thing a front ring around 34, 35 or 36 would give a popular ratio for polo around 42" to 44" with huge amounts of chain wrap. See above for lifetime guarantee terms and conditions.
Exact same design as our regular cro-mo Disc cogs but machined from solid 7075-T6 heat-treated aluminium alloy, anodized and laser engraved. Less than half the weight of the equivilent steel cogs and available in a range of colours.
Note: being aluminium these are ultimately not as hard wearing as the cro-mo cogs so we are not able to offer a lifetime guarantee. However, these are in aircraft-grade heat-treated 7075 and as with our regular threaded 7075 track cogs we expect them to hold up very well to wear. They are of course reversible without affecting chainline so can be run in both directions.
Available in 1/8" width and now 3/32" too. Various colours include black, red & gold. Other colours discontinued. Please see this page for sample weights of VS components. Please see FAQ for more information and set-up advice.
These are a much larger rear bolt-on cog for specific lower geared set ups both on bikes as well as more unusual machinery. These are, as with the usual sizes above, made in very hard wearing 7075-T6 aircraft grade heat-treated aluminium alloy.
We have three sizes available; 24t, 28t & 32t. One colour only - black. As with all our other Disc Cogs these are reversible without affecting chainline so can be run in both directions.
Available in 1/8" width and 3/32" too. Please see FAQ for more information and set-up advice.
Ideal to precisely space a cog away from the hub to dial in rear chainline. For example to increase your rear chainline from 41mm to 42mm simply add a 1mm spacer between hub and cog. Essential for dual cog set-ups and also perfect for disc brake applications or drivetrain modifications.
CNC machined in the UK for VeloSolo with ISO 6 bolt drilling. Available in 1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm. Use alone or in combination.
New anodized colours include silver, red, black, orange, gold and blue. We also have a few non-anodized left in 1mm only. These can be polished by the buyer if desired with any metal polish. Please see stock notes below for latest stock situation. Please see FAQ for set-up advice.
An alternative to the CNC spacers above. Pack of 18 M5 washers x 1mm thick. Allows for up to 3mm spacing adjustment between cog and hub. Adding one washer per bolt takes you from 41mm chainline to 42mm chainline and so on.
A2 Stainless Steel for corrosion resistance. These washers are also ideal for disc brake applications. Please see FAQ for set-up advice.
For securing cog to 6 bolt disc hub. Pack of 6. Choice of lengths available to allow for different applications. These bolts are also ideal for disc brake use.
Highest grade 12.9 high-tensile steel for ultimate strength. M5 hex (allen key) head with 12mm, 15mm or 20mm (10mm discontinued) (20mm for dualcog use only) threaded section. Please see FAQ for advice on fitting and size options.
High grade A4 stainless steel with 12mm threaded section. Superior in strength and finish to standard A2 grade. Large Torx head (T25 fitting) for excellent tool location and easy removal. Also ideal for disc brake use. Pack of 6.
Please see FAQ for advice on fitting and size options.
